Fiberglass cables are extensively used at temperatures between 155oC t185oC. Insulation of these cables is a bad conductor of heat and has good mechanical strength. This property will give fire retardancy if fire breaks out and will not allow the fire spread out. This will avoid the other objects around the cable catch fire and hence a safe surrounding will be preserved.
