This is a special purpose machine developed for building an assembly of an hydraulic valve. The valve consists of seven elements stacked one over other. The operator starts the assembly process by placing the bottom most element first. He then assembled o-rings & spring with the element. After completing this the operator presses a button on pendant which initiates a vision test. During this test a camera which is mounted on a vertical side is brought besides each element. The camera captures the image of assembled element and confirms that the o-rings & spring is correctly assembled. After the confirmation the camera moves up again. This process continues till the last element is correctly assembled. Thus machine vision system ensures that all the elements are correctly assembled with o-rings & springs and allows the final torquing operation after the top most element is correctly assembled.

Special Purpose Machines
These machines are used to carry specific job / operation only. A simple example of special purpose machine is multi spindle drilling machine. In this machine we can fit any number of drills, and also of different diameters, so instead of drilling one drill at a time, the specific special purpose machines drills the desired number of drills at a time, which in course reduces the cycle time, increases the production and which in turn reduces the cost. Main criteria for this machine is the required quantity should be more so that the cost of the machine will be recovered. Water dip machine has built in facility of water immersion for further analysis of leakage area which can be observed In illuminated water tank.The procedure is to load the component on fixture, clamp and plug the component in position. Air will be pressurised in to the component till the pressure reaches a preset value, stabilise the air inside the component and checked for leakage through a pressure drop/flow sensor and the result is displayed on leak testing instrument. If the component is rejected, it is immersed into the emulsion tank where the area of leakage is observed visually. In case of OK component punching will be done & depressurization, de-plugging followed by de-clamping take place.All clamping, locating and plugging will be done by hydraulic / pneumatic cylinders automatically, hence the process time and labor required is greatly saved. The operator only has to load the component & then press cycle start push button.Total operation is automatic without operator interference. Machine is fully automatic & controlled through PLC. The system is configured to operate in auto / manual mode.

Ltd. design & manufacture special purpose presses as per customer requirement for automobile components such as cylinder block, cylinder head, crank shaft, rear & front axle sub assembly elements, transmission sub-assembly elements etc to press bearing race, bearing cage, liners, piston, welch plugs, cam bush, valve seat, valve guide, oil seals, bush, pin etc,. GMJ Systems & Automations Pvt. Ltd. has designed, manufactured and proved bearing cage, bearing race, welch plug, valve seat, valve guide , piston, bush, pin, oils seal pressing machines to press in the engine cylinder block/head, rear & front axle, differential housing, wheel hub, ring gear, crankshaft etc. The procedure is to located and clamp the component in position and load the pressing component on dolly on pressing ram and pressed onto the component. All clamping, locating and plugging will be done by hydraulic cylinders automatically, hence the process time and labour required is greatly saved. The operator only has to load the component & then press cycle start push button. GMJ Systems & Automations Pvt. Ltd. also has designed special instrument to measure the load by using load cell & linear displacement by using linear transducer/scale while pressing. Provision has been made in the instrument to program 30 no’s of different program. Provision is also made to operate in manual mode, in order to make the operating sequence fool proof interlocks are provided in the circuit. The system can be operated through PLC based control system, it can be interfaced with machine by connecting solenoid valves, proximity switches, pendent, man machine interface (MMI) etc,.
