ITPL have fully indigenously developed Soft Starters & Rotor controllers in India
and their range covers Soft Starters from 0.5 HP to 15000 HP. Recently ITPL have
successfully Commissioned the LARGEST SOFT STARTER OF 10500 KW / 11 KV
motor.
ITPL Soft Starters work on the principle of “Flux Compensated Magnetic Amplifier”
and they are very popularly known as FCMA Soft Starters. These are non electronic
and hence fail-safe as well as totally maintenance free.
FCMA Soft Starters of ITPL have helped customers in optimizing their total power
system in addition to reducing the severity of electrical and mechanical stresses and
increase in motor life. This has been certified by many satisfied customers.As regards Quality, FCMA Soft Starters have undergone rigorous quality testing.
These Soft Starters are totally harmonics free. This has been demonstrated during
the testing carried out by Nuclear Power Corporation using video corder. Further
these Soft Starters have passed seismic test also very satisfactorily. The Soft
Starters are type tested at CPRI Bangalore for impulse withstands and High
Voltage test as per IEC standards.
ITPL “Flux Compensated Magnetic Amplifier” Slipdependent Rotor Starters &
regulators are based on frequency dependant resistance design which provides a
constant low starting current with automatically reducing resistance instep with motor
speed to provide constant torque characteristics & accelerate the motor & driven
equipment from stand still to full speed smoothly without any jerks. The FCMA
Slipdependent Rotor Starter & regulator are essentially rugged & maintenance free
equipment. The FCMA is primarily a constant current controller & naturally provides
current limiting action during the acceleration.
