Winding RTD
Many applications require continuous temperature monitoring of various devices. The Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) and Bearing Temperature Detectors (BTDs), due to their linear resistance-temperature characteristic are used for temperature sensing, measurement and control of these devices. The output signal of RTD/ BTD is given to a temperature indicator or a temperature controller for achieving the desired measurement and control. Features: Various lead lengths and colour codes of wires can be supplied. Customized designs and enclosures. Ex-stock delivery of standard models. The RTDs are available in various dimensions right from small Bead type sensors to Plate type RTDs. The BTDs are manufactured as per customer requirements and design. Please contact us for readily available, standard designs and special designs. Applications: The RTDs and BTDs can be used for continuous temperature indication and monitoring for the following AC Motors. DC Motors. AC Generators (Alternators). Transformers

...moreSpace Heater
Space Heater/ Anti-Condensation tool is a strip shape flexible heater having protective fiber glass sleeve on it. It is mainly used in Electric Motors & Generators. They are necessary to prevent failure of corrosion to Electic Motors by water condensing inside the winding of the motor. Normally these heaters are tied on the overhang winding before impregnation and hence form an integral part of the winding. This achieves maximum heat transfer. Use of Space Heaters is recommended for: Motors operating in high and very high humidity conditions Electric motors in tropical environments Shipboard and marine equipment Coastal area Motors & Generators
...moreSingle Thermistor Protection Unit
The Thermistor Protection Unit utilises signal from positive temperature coefficient thermistors. These are temperature sensors having low resistance under normal conditions and whose resistance increases to a very high value at critical temperature. The response time of thermistor is very quick, to the tune of < 5 sec. It operates within +/-1°C of the rated temperature. The tamper proof Thermistor Protection Unit trips the motor before it reaches the damaging high temperature.
...morePtc Thermistor
Insta Control's PTC Thermistor offers protection against: Single Phasing Under/ Over voltage Continuous overloading Intermittent duty or Excessive start/ stops Insufficient ventilation or Excessive ambient temperature Mechanical jamming/ Overloading Bearing failure Our PTC Thermistors are manufactured in accordance with the international standards DIN 44081, 44082 andBS EN 60034-11:2004. Due to their small thermal mass, they have favorable temperature sensitivity.Insta PTC Thermistors should be placed as near as possible to the hot spot. In three phase motors, one PTC Thermistor should be embedded in each phase. Good thermal contact between PTC Thermistor and winding is essential. The PTC Thermistors should be embeded parallel to the winding. In this way the mechanical stresses on the PTC Thermistors during forming the end turns of overhang winding can be minimized. Shrink cap is especially well suited for this because of its mechanical stability. At ambient temperature, resistance of one thermistor is between 20 ohms to 250 ohms. The resistance increases sharply in the region of the nominal response temperature. Response times < 5 sec. are achieved with Insta Thermistor. This signal can be used to switch off power circuit of electric motors/ transformers by using Insta's Thermistor Protection Unit. Insta can supply customised connections with customised individual lead lengths, cross-sectional areas, crimped contacts etc.
...moreKTY Silicon Sensors
KTY Silicon Sensors are based on the spreading resistance principle. And hence has a positive temperature co-efficient. These sensors are mainly used for measurement, control and regulation of air, gas and liquids for a temperature range of -50°C to 150°C. These Silicon based KTY Sensors give cost competitive solutions to the customers. Features: High-accuracy and reliability. Long-term stability. Virtually linear characteristics. Fast response time Positive Temperature Co-efficient, fail-safe behavior Temperature range: -50°C to 150°C (-60°F to 300°F) Resistance tolerance (R25) of ±3% or ±1% Polarity independent due to symmetrical Construction. Applications: Electronic circuit protection. Protection for power supplies. Domestic appliances. The white goods industry. The automotive industry.
...moreDual Thermistor Protection Unit
Two sets of Thermistors of different switching temperatures are connected to the Dual Thermistor Protection Unit, one set for Alarm and the other set for Trip. Normally a temperature difference between Alarm and Trip is 20-30°C. Each set of Thermistors consists of 3 Thermistors connected in series. The relay gets actuated only when the ALARM and TRIP Thermistors are connected to it. When the ALARM Temperature is attained the ALARM contacts changeover and the indication is obtained. The potential free ALARM contacts can be used for connecting to a lamp or siren for annunciation. If no corrective action is taken after the ALARM temperature, the TRIP temperature is attained and the TRIP contacts are activated and motor supply is cut-off.
