The group manufactures wiring harnesses for the entire cross-section of the automotive industry - from passenger cars to commercial vehicles, two wheelers and three wheelers, multi utility vehicles, farm, material handling equipment and off-the-road vehicles. The group also developing specialised wiring harnesses for white goods, office automation, medical diagnostic equipment, electrical and electronic equipment.
Designing and developing wiring harnesses from first principle concepts on latest design software, the group provides total solutions in wiring harness manufacturing.
The group has complete backward integration for manufacturing critical wiring harness components and has its own manufacturing facility for melamine and plastic mouldings.
In-house capability for design and manufacturing of applicators, jigs, assembly boards and circuit checking boards enable process design control and flexibility.
Opel has been in the business of auto electricals for the last 12 years,managed by professionals from the industry with 20 years of experience in the field.The operations and the manufacturing is based out of Chennai,Gurgoan and Pune. Its major customers are Tier One Suppliers.
To meet the growing demand of its customers Opel started a new unit in Pune in the year 2007 by the name Opel Auto Electrotech(P)Ltd. Today in a very short time Pune unit has established itself as a creditable manufacturing unit with Orders from customers like Flash,JHS Tiegene, Minda Corporation,Minda Valeo & JHS. The unit has grown at a fast pace and is currently developing wire harness for Tier One suppliers of Automobile companies.
