PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) a high density film that shrinks at lower temperature ranges is most commonly used. With excellent shrinkage rates, clarity, high impact strength, good scuff resistance and high print quality, PVC shrink sleeves are among the lowest cost among this type of packaging. PETG (Poly Ethylene Terephthalate Glycol) is a high density and also a high clarity, high strength and scuff resistance material used for making Shrink Sleeves. Food grade plastic, it can be used for pasteurizing contents and is recyclable, but rather expensive. PLA (Polylactide) is a biodegradable thermoplastic used for Shrink Sleeves and for flexible packaging.
