The system consists of reciprocating plunger pumps driven by an electric motor through reduction gear arrangement built into the pump. Considering the continuous Operation of system all the components are manufactured to very close tolerance & a special grade material is used to ensure consistent performance. The working principal of the pump is very simple and performs non-stop with very high delivery pressure. Grease reservoir having 50 Kg. Capacity, with follower plate. The pump it  is connected to change over valve which has one inlet & two outlets and one return line connection to tank. The outlets of the change over valve are the outlets of the Lubricating system. The pipe of bigger diameter are used to avoid the blocking of the grease. Arrangement of grease filling pump will be provided.

Centralised Lubrication systems by using progressive distributor block is a self monitoring and reliable method against severe operating conditions. The Oil / Grease is metered and uniform irrespective of piping lengths. The progressive block consists of plunger moving to and fro in precision bore. The movement of the piston is governed by the oil flow. The lubrication point gets dosages of oil / grease in progressive manner. Indicator pin moves forward and backward after completion of one cycle. Any failure in the system can be sensed with the help of proximity switch. The safety switch is either electrically connected in the series with the main motor starter or to a buzzer or Lub fault signal can be obtained and damages to the machine can be avoided by taking corrective action The system can be used as intermittent as well as continuous lubricating system by connecting return line to the reservoir. The standard (One Piece) progressive blocks are available in 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 & 16 outlets. Special combined blocks are made available in 14,16,18,22 &24 outlets. The modular type progressive blocks is assembly of number of blocks. They are in two sizes 60 x 80 called Primary / Master Block second is 45 x 55 size called secondary progressive blocks. For each progressive block there is an indicator pin which operates once after completion of a cycle. And it helps to pin point from which block the oil supply has failed. The system can be restarted after taking corrective action.

The discharge from the pump element is adjustable with the help of adjusting screw. Multipoint Lubrication System consists of number of individual pumping element assemblies screwed into the housing. An eccentric cam in the gearbox actuates these pump element assemblies. This gearbox is driven by an electric motor. Dead weight piston with rubber seal is provided inside the reservoir, which continuously presses the grease downward during rotation of cam. The grease is pressed toward the suction of pumping element and when the plunger is actuated by the cam, the grease is ejected from the outlet. The discharge quantity is adjustable by setting screw. Metering Cartridges precisely control the quantity of lubricating Oil going to the lubrication point. These are suitable for intermittent operation. They operate on the principal of a positive displacement piston pump. The design is such that each time the pump is put on they discharge fixed predetermined quantity of oil. The pressure relief valve allows the oil pressure in the system to drop to around 1 Kg/cm2 each times the pump is put off. This allows the piston in the cartridges to retract. Thus charging the cartridges for the next dosage. During the next ON time the oil pressure in the line forces the piston thus discharging the previously charged oil. A minimum pressure of around 8 Kg/cm2 is required for operating the piston in the metering cartridge. A metering cartridge should cater to only one lubricating point. The pump is reciprocating plunger type pump, which is keptimmersed in Oil . This pump is driven by a geared motor . Flexible Polyhoses are used wherever required.     WORKING OF THE SYSTEM LUBOMATIC Centralised dual line lubrication system basically consists of a reservoir with built in reciprocating plunger pump immersed in the oil, change over valve, dose feeders ( Dual line metering elements ) Pressure Switch, pipes, hose pipes, fittings Electrical Control Panel etc. In this type of system, there are two main lines of 16 OD, which run parallel to the Sugar Crushing Mill Tandem. From these two main lines, 10 OD Pipes are connected to inlet of dose feeders & the outlet of the dose feeders are connected to the lubrication points ( bearings ). The valve is hydraulically / electrically operated when the pump is switched ON the line 1 is connected and the pressure goes on increasing and when it reaches set high pressure all the points are lubricated as the valve moves forward the line gets blocked and the pressure goes on increasing and line changes to no. 2 line this goes on repeating. The dwell time is adjusted as per requirement and after set dwell time the cycle  goes on repeating. The discharge of oil can be controlled by Increasing or decreasing the pause time By the regulating screw fitted on the dose feeder indicating pin. OPERATING INSTRUCTION The electric control panel monitors the smooth working of the system. The following step should be followed while operating the system. Connect 3Ph & Netural connection to the control panel. Switch ON the 4 pole MCB provided on the panel. By selecting the position of selector switch one can select System I or System II . After system selection, the pump can be switched ON by using the rotary switch provided. If any fault occurs following visual indications are available with Hooter interface Reservoir – I Low Oil level in reservoir I is below required level. Reservoir – II Low Oil level in reservoir II is below required level. Low Pressure  – I Low If the pressure does not get developed in main line the panel will give this fault indication. Low Pressure  – II Low If the pressure does not get developed in main line the panel will give this fault indication. To adjust the viscosity of oil during winter season heaters are provided. The Temp range can be adjusted from 30º c to 65º c by using thermostat provided. ( This is optional ) System Reset after any fault indication, one has to reset the system.
