The Tefcon Bearing Pvt. Ltd Company was started in 1984 for manufacturing of POT-PTFE bearings .The Company manufactures various type of POT Bearings for Flyovers, Bridges, Aqueducts and PTFE / SS Slide Bearings for the Electro static Precipitators and other uses. The company has supplied up to 12500 KN vertical load carrying capacity bearings. Till date, company has supplied POT-PTFE bearings for more than 150 bridges, flyovers and aqueducts. Most of the large construction companies are our clients for bridges and flyovers.
Our company is supplying structural PTFE Slide bearings to most of the large and reputed companies in the field of Boiler ESPs i.e Thermax Limited, Himenviro Enviromental Engg. Ltd., Clyde Bergemann India Ltd., Batliboi, Promac Engg. Ltd., Rieco Industries etc.
Management Team:- The Company is managed by
1) Shri R.K. Goel, (Managing Director):- Mr. Goel is M-Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT-Delhi. He is having long experience in Civil Constn. Of large size Power Projects.. He is having Good experience in Civil structural designs and headed the Civil Design Wing of a large Power Generation company for 6 years. Now he is looking after the Company Administration, Production , After Sales services etc. and also joins the design team with Director (Tech)
2) Shri V.P. Deshpande (Director Technical):- Shri V.P. Deshpande is having more than 35 years experience in designs, manufacturing of all types of POT-PTFE bearings. Mr. Deshpande has undergone specialized training in design and manufacturing of various type of PTFE bearings in one of the largest European bearing manufacturing company ie. M/s. Glaciers Metal Co. U. K.
Mr. Deshpande is also very active in the educational field. He published papers “USE OF PTFE IN Sliding Bridge Bearings” in the march 1986 issue of Indian Highways journal.
Shri V.P. Deshpande is also a member of the committee for “Preparing Standards and Specifications for Bearings and Expansion joints” of IRC. The committee has finalized specifications and code of practice for Elastomeric bearings as IRC:83 Part II (1989), “specifications and Code of Practice for POT-PTFE Bearings as IRC 83 Part III (2002) & specifications for Exp as IRC:SP:69 (2005).
3) Shri Ramesh Kulkarni (Director Marketing):- Shri Kulkarni is having more than 35 years experience in the field of Civil Engg. He is also Chairman & MD of SOIL TECH India Pvt Ltd, Which is a leading Company in the field of foundation Engg. & Mineral Exploration in the world. Shri Ramesh Kulkarni is looking after the Marketing of the company’s products.
Design Team:- We have a strong design team in our company. Shri V.P. Deshpande (Dir. Tech.) is the head of the design team. We design the bearing based on the Load data given by the clients/consultants. We assist the Clients for the approval of design & Drawing by the competent authority/ consultants.
We have designed bearings for concrete Bridges, Steel Bridges, ROBs flyovers, Boiler ESPs, Aqueducts for Irrigation Department for any load, as per the requirements of the clients.
Manufacturing:- We have all latest machinery in our factory for manufacturing the POT Bearings and PTFE Bearings. We have the machining capacity to manufacture the bearing of any size from small to largest.
Quality Control:- We keep Strict watch on quality. We have dedicated Engineer to monitor the quality and precision of the items. We buy the raw material only from the Govt. approved venders.
Testing:- We have in house testing facility for the bearings. We can test the bearings up to 15000 KN Vertical load and 3000 KN Horizontal load with different combinations, as per the IS Code.
Clients:- We have supplied the POT bearings to almost all the big construction Companies. i.e. Gammon India, J. Kumar Infrastructure, T & T Group, Simplex etc. Our clients PTFE Slide Bearings for ESPs are Thermax Limited, Himenviro Enviromental, Promac Engineering, Rieco Industries, Batliboi.
Approvels:- Our company is prequalified by MORT&H, New Delhi as a manufacturer of PTFE / POT bearings for Bridges on NHs and under the sponsored schemes. Our bearings have been also tested by DGS&D. We are registered with DGS&D also.
