ELCON TUBE FITTINGS come to you completely assembled, finger-tight. They are ready for immediate use. Dis-assembly before use can result in dirt or foreign material getting into the fitting and causing leaks ELCON TUBE FITTING are installed in three easy steps. Insert the tubing into the ELCON TUBE FITTING. Make sure that the tubing rests firmly on the shoulders ofthe fitting and that the nut is snug tight, in this position the tube does not rotate by hand. Before tightening the ELCON nut, scribe the nut atthe 6.00 o'clock position. Now while holding the fitting body steady with a backup wrench, tighten the nut one-and-one quarter turns* Watch the scribe mark, make one complete revolution and continue to the 9.00 o'clock position. *For 1/8", 3/16", 3 & 4 mm size tube fittings, only % turns from finger-tight is necessary the joint is now complete. Schrader push in fittings are made from Acetal resin moulded with nickel plated brass insert. It uses NBR (Nitrile) rubber "U" cup for creating leakproof joint with PU tube when it is inserted in to the push in fitting. The PU tube is locked inside the fitting by using S S lock claws with unique profile to prevent accidental release of PU tube. However the PU tube can be easily released when required, by pressing down on "release sleeve" with a finger and pulling the tube out without any tool. Schrader BSPT push in fittings are pre-coated with Teflon thread sealant while BSPP push in fittings are provided with face sealing "O" ring to create leak proof joint where push in fitting is fitted on. Schrader also has a complete range of PU tubings specially made with matching O.D. to make a right joint with Schrader push in fittings.
