The Government of India, through the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOH & FW) approved and released Standards for Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) Compliance, in August 2013, and has been driving healthcare facilities to comply with the EHR standards. They ensure the Standards are mandatory for all Government initiatives and it’s expected that the private players will be mandated to comply in the next 2 years. In March 2015, Govt of India proposed setting up of the National eHealth Authority (NeHA), through an act of Parliament as a body with regulatory powers. The Health YU Card has several components that all work together to save time for the patient. Patient data includes basic demographic data, insurance information, emergency information, allergies, medical conditions, and recent prescriptions. Information is uploaded by patients through the web site & Mobile Application and securely encrypted onto a Smart card. When patients come to the hospital, they present the smart card accessed by a hospital through our web portal.
