The Sojat Goat is originally from Rajasthan and is a cross breed of the Jamunapari goat. These are also called as a variety of Jamunapari goat. Their coats are generally white in colour with occasional tan and black marks here and there. There are quite heavy and are particularly used to get meat. They are usually given as a sacrifice for the Muslim festival of Bakrid. On an average, a Sojat goat gives around 1 to 1.5 kg of milk every day.
