These Vacuum Pumps remove gas molecules from the Vacuum Receiver ultimately providing ‘suction’ for the applications.   The atmospheric air in the closed vacuum receiver is drawn out into the suction manifold and discharged to the atmosphere by means of a Reciprocating Piston driven by a Crank Shaft. The compressed air is passed through a pressure vessel with two “towers” filled with a media such as activated alumina, silica gel, molecular sieve or other desiccant material. This desiccant material attracts the water from the compressed air via ‘adsorption’ process. As the water clings to the desiccant, the desiccant “bed” becomes saturated.
