We offer Compensation Design useful for control labs. Practical feedback control systems are often required to satisfy design specifications in the transient as well as steady state regions. Cascade compensation is most commonly used for this purpose. This unit has been designed to enable the students to go through the complete design procedure and finally verify the performance improvements provided by compensation. The experimental set-up is accompanied by the supporting literature which becomes of vital importance as a major part of the experiment involves theoretical design of compensation networks. >>Highlights Design and test cascade compensator Simulated system for accurate results Built-in compensator – only passive external components Built-in signal sources >>Experiments Lag/Lead compensation in the frequency domain Lag/Lead compensation in the s-plane All the above design problems may be undertaken for a very wide range of design specifications The implementation of the compensation network has been made very convenient by a pre wired amplifier with calibrated gain >>Features and Specifications Simulated ‘uncompensated’ system having adjustable damping. Peak percent overshoot MP, variable from 20% to 50%, and steady state error variables from 50% to 0.5% Compensation network implementation through built-in variable gain amplifier. Gain is adjustable from 1 to 11 Built-in square and sine wave generators for transient and frequency response studies. Frequency adjustable from 25Hz – 800Hz (approx.) Essential accessory: a CRO The experiment is complete in all respect, except a CRO.

We offer pipe friction apparatus. This apparatus is used to measure darcy's friction coefficient (f) forgiven pipes. The apparatus consists of: a centrifugal pump of 25mm x 25mm with 12 hp motor (isi make) m.s. Sump tank 80 ltr. To collect the warer. m.s. Measuring tank 40 ltr fitted with piezometer tube o measure the discharge. Damper is used to collect the water in m.s mesuring tank for certain time. g.i. Pipe of internal dia 25.4mm (1") and gunmetal isi mark control valve and regulating valves are used to circulate water. bye-pass line is also used to regulate the discharge. this apparatus consists of a three g.i. Pipe 12", 34". The pressure tapings are provided 100cm a part on each pipe. Each tapings are connected to the mercury u tube manometer to measure head difference. Hand shuts valves are provided on each pipe to open supply in the pipe. the tanks are well epoxy painted insided to prevent rust hence increase the life of tank. experimental capabilities: to determine the loss coefficient for different type of fittings. comparison of pressure across two different types.

The most commonly used law of Thermal Radiation is the Stefan-Boltzmann low which states that the thermal radiation heat flu emitted from a block surface (one which absorbs all the incident radiation falling on it) is proportional to the fourth power of the absolute temperature of the surface and is given by the following equation. (qA) Heat flux in WMsq. = σT = eb4 Where, T is the surface temp. which emits thermal radiation in K And Stefan – Boltzmann constant, σ=5.67 x 10-8 WM sq.—K4 eb = Emissivity power of black surface. The Stefan – Boltzmann low can be derived by integrating planks law,

Study of Thermoluminescence of F-centers Experimental setup

We offer Thermoluminescence of F-centres, in this Pure alkali halide crystals are transparent throughout the visible region of the spectrum. The crystals may be colored in a number of ways (1) by the introduction of chemical impurities (2) by introducing an excess of the metal ion (3) by X-ray, γ-ray, neutron and electron bombardment (4) by electrolysis Colour centres produced by irradiation with X-rays When a X-ray quantum passes through an ionic crystal, it will usually give rise to a fast photo-electron with an energy of the same order as that of the incident quantum. Such electrons, because of their small mass, do not have sufficient momentum to displace ions and therefore loose their energy in producing free electrons, holes, excitons and phonons. Evidently these while moving near the vacancies form trapped electrons as well as trapped holes. The trapped-electron or trapped-hole centres so formed can be destroyed (bleached) by illuminating the crystal with light of the appropriate wavelength or warming it. The experiment consists of the following Experimental set-up for creating thermoluminescence (1) Sample: KBr or KCl single crystal (2) Thermolumniscence Temperature Meter, TL-02 Digital Thermometer Oven Power Supply (3) Sample Holder (4) Thermoluniscence Oven (0-423K) (5) Black Box For measurement of luminescence intensity (1) Photomultiplier tube: 931A (2) PMT Housing with biasing circuit and coaxial cables etc. (3) High Voltage Power Supply, Model: EHT-11 Output : 0-1500V variable (1mA max.) Regulation : 0.05% Display: 3.5 digit 7-segment LED (4) Nanoammeter, Model DNM-121 Range: 100nA to 100mA full scale in 4 ranges Accuracy : 0.2%. Display: 3.5 digit 7-segment LED Complete in all respect, only X-ray facilities are required to create F-centers in the crystal.
