The instrument has a castled stand and having two parallel, plane circular faces between which the test piece is placed for measurement. One of the faces (the anvil).In the measuring spindle there is a stationary lower measuring area of 200 mm2. The movable measuring area is fixed on a bar, which also supports the dead weight load. The pressure between the two faces is 100 kPa + 10 kPa.
