Puncture Resistance: The puncture resistance of paperboard is measured as the energy required to force a puncture head of specified design through a test piece of the board under specified testing condition. A test piece is clamped between two horizontal plates in each of which is a triangular hole. A triangular pyramid puncture head, attached to a swinging pendulum, punctures the test piece and the energy required to force it through the test piece is measured. Measuring range 0-5, 0-10,0-20 & 0-36 Nm OR Measuring range 0-58.5, 0-200, 0-400, 0-800, 0-1600 kgf.
