Cajeput oil is obtained from the twigs and leaves of the cajeput tree. It is belongs to Myrtaceous family, cajeput is also called as white wood or weeping tea tree and weeping paper back. Cajeput essential oil has an absolutely wonderful stimulating aroma, like a slightly fruity Eucalyptus. The oil seems to combine many of the traits of Tea Tree and Eucalyptus in one. Traditional use has been for the prevention and treatment of colds and flu. It was considered particularly valuable for colds, flus and chronic rheumatism and was prescribed for cholera.” Cajeput essential oil makes an excellent addition to massage blends both for sports and for arthritic and rheumatic applications. It has moderate warming properties, and is noted as an analgesic. It may be supportive for neuralgia, gout, sciatica, lumbago, muscles stiffness and general aches and pains.
