In recent years, handloom technology has been advanced in manufacturing of carpet and a new techniques has been developed for weaving of durries which is knows as Jacquard Durries. In this weaving technique a unique machine (jacquard) is installed with handloom for making the design & pattern on durries. The design & pattern is developed by making holes in a set of card of equal size and shape which are stitched together to make the complete design & pattern. The weaving is done by well trained craftsmen and 1 to 3 craftsmen require to operate the loom that depend on size of the rugs. These rugs made up of different materials like wool, cotton, viscose, jute etc. and available in unique design & pattern with or without backing canvas that provide luxurious look.
