Getting its name from the way it functions, return rollers support the empty belt returning from the drive to the feed. To ensure that the dirty side of the belt does not wear away the welded portion return rollers are counter bore welded, also preventing the expose of the sharp end discs that can probably damage the belt.

Return belt idlers are used for supporting the return run of the belt. The standard type include single roller with end-brackets. However, inclined two-roller type is also available for specific application.
