The system emits Ultrasonic sound waves and then receives the reflected waves, detect the side of nearest obstacle, and calculate the distance from the nearest obstacle. The indication differs in different models. There are different types of indicating devices: Visual: LED (light Emitting Diodes), VFD (Vacuum Florescent Display), Visual Image with OSD (indicating sidedistance of obstacle) Audio: Buzzer and Human Voice
