After application, the sealant reacts with atmospheric moisture at room temperature to form a highly elastic rubber seal for building joints and glazing. This excellent weather ability and its high movement accommodation enables the sealant to perform even after many years of exposure. Silpruf® silicone sealant may be used to seal assemblies of masonry, concrete, metals, plastics, wood and other common construction materials. Silpruf® is specially designed for use in butt joints or lap shear joints in weather sealing and glazing applications subjected to movement.
