Originally introduced in 1999 by CST GmbH from Germany, this technology has been sold worldwide. Nova Inter Tech was the progenitor for this new technique, using it to support rotary printers with a pollution free recycling service. The development and refining of this process has never stopped for us and our target is and always will be to encourage all rotary printers to use this technique to save our environment and to protect the workers health. In the past using chemical stripping, the lifetime of a screen was drastically reduced because the acid inside the stripping agent corrodes the surface of thenickel screen.(see images left) Due to the strong acid the nickel screen gets thinner and more brittle and the individual mesh will be disfigured. As a consequence high quality printing is not possible with chemical stripping. We are using only high pressure water to remove the photo emulsion from a nickel screen. With this technique we do not damage the surface or structure of the screen. If the rotary screen is handled carefully during the printing process, it is possible to re-use the screens far more often. As a result the printer can save in the cost of screens dramatically and also improve printing quality. Selecting the best possible screen was always a balancing act between cost and quality. Now we are able to use the best quality screens because we can recycle them multiple times. On average the water consumption is it about 40-60 litres per screen which can be reduced by using a recycling system. Also the use of nozzles and others spare parts is reduced drastically in our new model by optimising the pump and filtration systems.

Digital Sampling Software
Since the origins, CAD systems aim to replace the manual sampling with an accurate paper print. In order to obtain a proper result, many points have to be taken in consideration as, for example, the dot gain, the color-matching, the simulation of the overlapping tone obtained on wet on wet printing, the raster application to the screen, the color viscosity and the printing order. Thanks to Color Instinct it is possible to handle all those variables, simulating them on paper or on fabric (direct printing or transfer), and obtaining a level of imitation enough to get the final confirmation from customer and then move to the standard working procedure, from engraving to printing. It also introduces some working procedure’s improvements: it is possible to make a proper evaluation of the design before engraving, to print and then valuate the proper adjustment, to identify problems related to the engraving or to the printing and then quickly fix them and to increase the number of proposal to the customers. All those options, will reduce the working times and costs. It wont be necessary to produce a large amount of sampling for sales campaign, production will be done only after sales confirmation.

CMYK Automatic Separation Software
This solution has been engineered for different kind of companies: For those who want to provide a new focus on traditional printing (rotary or frame), affected by the spreading of digital printing. Companies who want to make small quantities in digital printing and then move in bulk production with traditional printing machines (rotary or flatbed printing). Combining the capabilities of MakeRaster and Color Instinct, it is possible to control the final printing result, printing on digital (paper or fabric) and applying the requested corrections. All those changes can be done without any engraving procedure and, more than that, avoiding to involve other department except the creation office. In a short time the user will generate a proper simulation of the final result. Thanks to this solution, companies will obtain the maximum quality from their actual setup, optimizing the quality without investments on other machines. Improve as much as possible the actual working conditions is the main focus of any of our installations. Manual and automatic coloring functions of Color Instinct allows to generate colourways even for CMYK images. Using traditional tools instead it would be a very complicated operation.

Automatic Channel Separation Software
This solution has been engineered for different kinds of companies and departments: Digital Printing Mills: Chroma permits to quickly separate RGB file in channels: grayscale obtained, will be colored, manually or automatically; Color Instinct will handle the proper printing match. Engravers and separation-offices: the time spent for separation, but mostly the interpretation subjectivity, has always been the weak point of the separation process. ATL Colour Management Without Modifying RIP Software
ATLSync is a software developed for color management in digital textile production. It adapts to all workflows in a completely transparent manner. Through a simple parameterization of a few minutes, ATLSync works in the background, intercepting images intended for Rip, automatically modifying its characteristics, correcting imperfections and any differences found in profiles and control variables of the process in order to unify the printing result.
