Crane duty gear box Housing :- Housing are Fabricated in Mild steel and stress relived  Crane duty gear box are classified in to 4 different types of class duty :-- Class I : Light duty cranes for repair shops, light assembly operations, service buildings, light warehouses, where service requirements are infrequent.Class II : Medium duty cranes for machine shops and general industrial use both indoor and outdoor application.Class III : Extra heavy duty cranes for steel mills and other heavy machine shops, steel warehouses, heavy fabrication shops, paper mills etc. with magnet and bucket operation for scrap yards, fertilizer plants & induction furnace.

The gear boxes for cranes are strictly designed in accordance to IS 3177 and IS 4460. The gear box casings are fabricated out of steel confirming to IS 2062-Gr B. The gear box casings are stress relieved after fabrication. The gear boxes are of spur/helical design. We can offer you gear boxes having input/ output shafts at right angles with the use of helical gears. The hardness of gears is 180-210 BHN and that of pinions 200 - 260 BHN. Suitable breathing hole, oil level indicator, drain plug and inspection window with cover is provided for all gear boxes.
