Ceramic Sheathed Thermocouple is offered by us in a range of Ceramic Sheated with PCD 70 Flange Thermocouple, and High Temperature Ceramic Sheated Thermocouple. It is used for applications having temperature up to 1600oC, particularly in kilns, furnaces, and flues. Ceramic Sheathed Thermocouple is available in varied specifications for both simple and duplex assemblies. It has weatherproof and flameproof termination heads. Additionally, Ceramic Sheathed Thermocouple comes with fixed or adjustable flanges, and welded or adjustable bushes.Detail: This assemblies are used for temperture measurment up to 1600oC plus in kilns, furnaces and flues thermocouple conductors type K, R, S & B. The protective ceramic sheaths of these assemblies are available as standard with a range of diameters from 6mm. We are pleased to advise on which sheath material and size to select to sult the operating tempearture ranges, atmosphere and therma conditions of your particular application. Heavy duty, weatherproof & flamproof termination heads for both simplex and duplex assemblles are available in either diecast aluminium & stainless steel. Available attachment fittings inslude fixed or adjustable flanges, welded or adjustable bushes. Assemblles are avllable as standard with primary and optional secondary ceramic protective sheaths in a range of diameters of impervious aluminious porcelian, impervious recrystallised alumina, impervoious mullite and sllicon carblde etc. Assemblies in all the the common thermcouple conductor combinations are available in both simplex and duplex thermocouples. These assemblies can be supplied with bends in appropriate position along the sheath to meet customer requirements.

Sheathed thermocouple probes are available with one of three junction types: grounded, ungrounded or exposed. At the tip of a grounded junction probe, the thermocouple wires are physically attached to the inside of the probe wall. This results in good heat transfer from the outside, through the probe wall to the thermocouple junction. In an ungrounded probe, the thermocouple junction is detached from the probe wall. Response time is slower than the grounded style, but the ungrounded offers electrical isolation.
