Phosphogypsum (PG) is the calcium sulfate hydrate formed as a by-product of the production of fertilizer from phosphate rock. It is mainly composed of gypsum (CaSO4·2H2O).   Phosphate used for : Phosphate rock is processed to produce phosphorous, which is one of the three main nutrients most commonly used in fertilizers (the other two are nitrogen and potassium). 'Coco-Peat', also known as coir pith or coir dust, is a bi-product of the coconut industry and is produced when coir fiber is extracted from the coconut husk. It is a spongy, peat like residue.
