Silicone forms tight seals and repels water making it suitable for many marine and food grade applications. Silicone rubber is best at maintaining its properties over the widest range of temperatures. Products details: Available in Hardness range 40-80° Shore A in all colours. Heat range 205°C Continuous, 300°C Intermittent. Low temp resistance of -60°C. Not recommended for applications where concentrated solvents, oils, and acids are present. Also has high gas permeability, and is relatively higher cost than other synthetic polymers such as EPDM and Nitrile.
