Tali Hardwood
Scientific Name Erythrophleum Ivorense. The Tali Hardwood is orange, yellow and brown to reddish brown. Tali is of African origin. The sapwood is striped and clearly demarcated. The grain is interlocked and the texture is coarse. The species is considerably stronger than White oak or Teak. It has exceptionally high bending strength qualities when air-dried. Maximum crushing strength or compression parallel to grain is exceptionally high. The species has very high density and so it is preferred more for the lorry body building industry.
