Application: One of the main use of QUAT-87 is for the treatment of fungus-infected surfaces before repainting with fungicidal paints.For all normal purposes, a 0.2% solution in water is adequate, although for cases of severe infection up to 1.0% may be desirable.It has no adverse effect on the rate of drying, adhesion or durability of paint films applied over it.   QUAT-87 is effective at 0.3% concentration on normal plaster concrete or brickwork. By treating such surfaces the spread of the fungal growth from infected to sound timbers is prevented. The product is also an effective preservative for starch and protein-based adhesives.   The Actual Concentration necessary is a function of the extent of algae growth, its age & vitality, temperature etc. The care should be taken while using this compound that it should not come in contact with anionic surface-active agents.
