The activity has also spread to China, Japan, Malaysia and Korea.The birds reach their full size by the end of 1st year. They grow up to 5'.6" to 6'.0" feet with a weight of 40 to 50 kgs. Laying period starts after 18 months and eggs are laid during October to March. Eggs are dark bluish green in colour with a weight of 400 to 800 gms. A bird can lay 10 to 40 eggs in a season and it depends on breeder’s layers, premium quality of birds, medical treatment offered to the bird’s feed and breeder management plays and important role in upgrading egg production.
