Description: NEOSHIELD PU Paints are 2 part polyurethane based top coat offering good resistance to chemical, UV. These products are designed to offer best gloss retention. The product has got excellent adhesion strength and also offers a balanced aesthetic and corrosion protection. NEOSHIELD PU Paints are available in Clear / High Glossy / Semi Glossy varieties. Special products with non yellowing fetaures are also available. These products cure at Room temperature and provides excellent flexibility, toughness, good abrasion, chemical & UV resistance. Surface Preparation: Abrasive blasting to Sa 2 ½ Swedish standards is the best method of surface preparation. In case blasting is not possible, then the surface of steel should be cleaned to St-2/St-3. The surface should be absolutely dry, moisture and oil free before primer application. And for Application on Primer scuff with 100 no type’s emery paper for proper bonding and performance. Application Method: Stir the Base part thoroughly. Mix base and Hardener as per our recommended ratio, by volume, Allow the mixture to stand still (maturation) for about 10-15 minutes to initiate the reaction. Add suggested Thinner into mix, if required, depending on application method, and stir gently for few minutes. Stain the paint through nylon filter cloth of 300 mesh size and apply uniformly over the surface. All equipment used for above should be properly cleaned. Apply By Brush/By Conventional spray.

These Coating are particularly used to protect the metallic vessels against corrosion due to acidic or alkaline reactions in the chemical storage tanks, rotating equipment, reaction vessels, filters, ducts and scrubbers. It can be applied to existing and new equipment. The total engineering support is to be provided to the customer for the selection of material for the Coating. It has many advantages over other lining methods like rubber lining. Some of the advantages are : Much stronger bond to metal. Longer service life. Seams can be avoided and thereby safer protection afforded. Coating with F.R.P. can be done at room temperature unlike rubber lining which require   vulcanizing. Easily create on site. Very little maintenance and ease of repair.

An Isophthallic Polyester glass flake reinforced coating for steel. It withstands sea water and extremely aggressive corrosion conditions up to about 80°C immersion temperatures. This is made possible by the very high loading of glass flakelets. Traditionally developed for use on Oil Rigs for protection of externals of riser pipes, cellar decks, pipe racks, railings, it is now used for the internals and externals of seawater out flow pipes, cooler covers, water boxes (depending on chemical cargo) and other applications, e.g. bridges, cranes, and other dock side applications. Main advantages are ease of application, fast film build (up to 1mm in one coat), rapid cure times, (2-3 hrs thin film drying time) as well as repairable and overcoatable when cured.
