In 1939, Shri V V Shunmuga Nadar founded VVS & SONS in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. He was a true visionary of his times as he founded multiple companies in various fields and was the chairman of quite a few of them as well. He also paid due diligence to the local community that helped him throughout his personal and business career by starting schools and colleges that were accessible by all.
Our journey started eight decades ago, with the manufacture of Dhal and moved on to Gingelly oil when we first started, it was without industrial methodology. This provided us with the opportunity to discover and implement various ingenious methodologies which helped us maintain the consistency and authenticity of flavour and the quality of gingelly oil. Which in turn made VVS a brand name, popular in most households, and is considered the “GOLD” standard of Gingelly oil.
